"We loved staying here!!! The house was awesome. The trip and house were great!!!  The sunsets and sunrises were beautiful.  It was great to wake up and drink a freshly brewed cup of java and watch the sun come up on the deck.  Having 2 acreas of the beach house property right on the ocean was incredible.  It was basically our private beach.  In the morning after coffee we would go with our kids and find sea shells and feed the seagulls.  We also took lots of photos and brought the binoculars for some bird watching.

We even drove our car right on the beach.  My mother who is older and can not walk very far was able
to not only see the whole beach but was able to sit in her beach chair on the beach with us and enjoyed the day since we could drive her right to beach blanket spot on the beach. 

We invited up two additional couples during the weekend  for an overnight crawfish boil since we had so much room/space in the beach house.  The new appliances and flat screen TV were great.  It was nice that my mother could bring her small dog, "Ginger".  Ginger really enjoyed roaming the area. 

We rented kayaks next door.  We also went crabbing near by.  My husband went deep sea fishing for the day and brought his fresh  catch home.  We cooked up the fish at the beach house with a batter recipe my mother brought with her.  Nothing beats fresh fish! 

We drove into Galveston a few of the days we were there.  We walked the seawall and the pier.  We had dinner at a local restaurant called Guido's.  For desert we had snow cones.  The kids had fun and also enjoyed some amusement rides.  My husband loved the solitude of the beach house being on 45 acres of land with a private beach front, but still being able to drive a short distance to the Galveston tourist area for some excitement.

Since my mother could watch the kids, my husband and I went out and had a romantic dinner and saw a play in "The Strand" area of Galveston.  We also watch an outdoor movie on the beach one night with the whole family.  We may come up this winter for another visit and will definately come back next summer. "

"This was an excellent quick getaway from Houston for our family.  We were there in less that 40 minutes from Houston.  The swing on the deck was so peaceful at sunset. We invited a  few people last minute to visit us from Houston since it was so close.  The property looks like it must be worth over a million dollars.  It is on 45 acres of private land, has its own private pond and has over 2 acres of beach/ocean front property.  No one could beleive that we could rent such a beautiful and secluded rental in Galveston.

If you are considering renting a hotel for a week in Galveston, you may want to consider this beach house as a better Galveston Summer Rental, or Galveston Vacation Rental anytime.  A beach house summer rental in Galveston is actually cheaper if you compare.  Most tourists just don't know any better.  The beach house can hold up to 10 people.  This beach house was a real good find for us."
